List of Current Dramas

I am addicted to watching korean dramas in my free time.
But since Senior year started, I didn't really have time for it, nor the motivation to start new ones.
However, I have been getting on track and started a lot of dramas.
Though I haven't finished watching some of them though.

Ones I need to finish:

I Miss You

If I remember this correctly, I have to watch Episode 6. :/
I keep telling myself I need to watch it, but I end up neglecting the show.
But my expectations are still quite high for this show. The cast seems like a good trio of actors (Park Yoo Chun, Yoon Eun Hye, Yoo Seung Ho). All of them are fairly still a noob at playing the role of an adult, because I've only seen them act out an adult role once or twice. Though it has a very serious and dark theme, it sort of draws me in.
I'm really looking forward to finishing up this drama. As well as seeing how much these three have improved over the years with my own eyes instead of reading reviews.

That Winter the Wind Blows

Only up to Episode 7 at this point. I've seen the korean movie "Love Me Not" prior to this drama so I'm curious to see the drama's adaptation. At first, I was skeptical about the lead actor (Jo In Sung) because I'm vain and didn't think he was handsome at all.
However, I have never seen any of  his works, so I've decided to give the drama a shot due to the fact that the lead actress was Song Hye Kyo, and I haven't seen her since "Worlds Within."
Turns out Jo In Sung is a wonderful actor. His expressions are very good and I can immerse myself in his acting. It really is exciting to watch these two act out a dangerous relationship.

Current one I am watching:

You're the Best, Lee Soon Shin
I'm up to date with this drama, so I guess its safe for me to say that I am really captivated by this drama. Its a family drama so everyone can enjoy it.
It starts off a little bit slow in the first two episodes, but a certain incident just really brings everything together in this story and helped me connect with Lee Soon Shin (IU/Lee Ji Eun). I really felt for her character. I recognized her needs to have a bigger role in the family, need for higher self-esteem, want of a voice, to get along with her sister, etc.
This drama does have a father/daughter moment, but its definitely focusing more on the importance of a mother/daughter relationship. It's very touching and fun to watch.
I can't say too much about the contents of this drama, because I don't want to spoil it to anyone.
But I highly recommend this show. IU may be a noob as a lead actress, but I feel like her acting is very natural and compared to the other characters, hers is much more tolerable. She has definitely improved since Dream High, especially since she's not singing herself half way through this one.

Here are the new dramas that I have started watching:

Jang Ok Jeong, Lives to Love

The love story of the famous concubine, Jang Ok Jeong/Hui Bin (Kim Tae Hee) and King Suk Jong (Yoo Ah In). This drama takes an interesting start. Jang Ok Jeong is at the top of her career as a hanbok designer and holds her own fashion show. While she is at a customer's house, she is told to take measures of the customer's blind date. The date turns out to be Suk Jong by accident, which is unknown to Ok Jeong. Then the story goes back into the past of when these two first met, and the incidents of why they have forgotten each other.
It has only been two episodes and I feel like this will be a good drama to watch. Let's just hope I will not be let down and be reminded of a past scar ("Fashion King").

Gu Family Book

I needed to take a deep breath. Because. This drama has already caused me to rage. In a good way though. Sort of.
If you've seen the trailer, you should know that the beginning of this drama is all about how Choi Kang Chi (Lee Seung Gi) is born, and why he is half human.
Basically.....the human woman, Yoon Seo Hwa, with the pitiful tragic story falls in love with the guardian god of the mountains, Gu Wal Ryung, without knowing his true identity. I hope its pretty obvious that this couple is going to be a tragic opening to the story.
I understand that the story needed to be rushed because it was only supposed to be a filler and an introduction, so there were a lot of flaws. But I was IN LOVE WITH THIS MAN. *Spoiler alert*

Even though he was a sweet (but old) man that turned into a fool because of his love for one woman. He risked going evil to save his woman from harm.
However, Yoon Seo Hwa, the proud human woman, flips out because she finds out her husband has lied to her about his true identity and about the death of her brother and her servant.
But Wal Ryung only lied to her that they were safe because he didn't want her to turn into a depressing freak. He loves the woman, what else could he tell her? That they died? I don't think so!
If Seo Hwa was the wife that loved him during those three months they lived together, she could have overlooked all of that and realized that everything Wal Ryung ever did was done for her.
But no. She had to betray him because the story had to move on.
What I really can't forgive is, after Seo Hwa gives birth to their son, she rejoices over the fact that her baby is a normal boy. But she puts her baby in a basket and floats him down a river like its Moses time. Just because she wants him to grow up to be a normal human and mingle.
They could have totally mingled together! Why did she have to throw away her own son? This character makes no sense to me.
BUT, that's just the way the story is written and that's the characters' descriptions.
Point is: I HATE YOON SEO HWA.
Another point is: I'm really going to like this drama, because everything that happened so far is only the beginning. Therefore, I can simmer down.
